- Civil Engineering degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 3‑5 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures in nuclear power plants and/or industrial buildings.
- Master’s degree and above is an asset.
- 1 to 2 years of site or field experience in nuclear power plants and/or industrial buildings is an asset.
- Deep and thorough understanding of structural engineering gained through a combination of design office and site experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Canadian and international codes and standards used in civil/structural engineering.
- Proficiency with analysis software commonly used in civil/structural engineering such as STAAD.Pro, SAP
2000, ETABS, SAFE, etc. - Knowledge of the modification process of nuclear power plants (ECP process or similar) is an asset.
- Knowledge of static, dynamic and seismic analysis of structures and foundations.
- Strong time‑management and prioritization skills.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Adequate knowledge of established nuclear QA guidelines, procedures and practices is preferable.
- Adequate knowledge of applicable nuclear safety codes and regulations is an asset.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to work effectively under tight schedules and budgets.
- Eligible for security clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
- Travel to client sites is required.
