Instrumentation and Control Engineer (Nuclear)

Key Responsibilities: Depending on the project phase, tasks may include:
- Review and interpret current technical documentation (P&IDs, wiring diagrams, cable block diagrams).
- Understand and interpret ladder logic diagrams.
- Support the design and preparation of control panels.
- Define system functional and performance requirements, including control logic, algorithms, setpoints, and wiring arrangements.
Instrumentation Tasks:
- Read and interpret P&IDs with instrumentation details.
- Populate P&IDs with correct instrumentation symbols.
- Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for equipment procurement (to be handed over to procurement teams).
Candidate Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- Above 3 years of experience in the related nuclear field.
- Hands‑on experience with instrumentation such as: pressure transmitters, flow meters, transmitters, vibration monitoring systems, speed sensors, level switches.
- Strong control system engineering experience: functional/performance requirement definition, control logic and wiring design, development of control algorithms and parameter tuning.
- Nuclear sector experience, preferably with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) or Bruce Power.
