Job Overview
Lead multiple complex engineering, procurement and manufacturing projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies, and project framework in all project phases from initiation to closeoutIdentify, assess and proactively mitigate project risks and issues, prepare contingency and recovery plan as neededResolve and assist with resolution of issues and problems (cost, Schedule and Quality), as necessary to ensure that project deliverables are achieved as per plan,Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including senior management, internal team and external vendors and manage vendor relationshipsActive management of the project progress, key milestones and provide the regular status report to stakeholders.Monitor, evaluate and report on cost and schedule, and manage changes, prepare and review of cost and schedule variance reportsCoordinating and controlling of all stages of project management in assigned projects or project packages in all project phases from initiation to closeoutPerform project management activities throughout the lifecycle of the projects, ensuring all project objectives and commitments are controlled and delivered within targets of safety, quality, budget and schedule.Visit various site locations, manufacturers, and suppliers as required.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g.: Engineering, Business)Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset.Manufacturing and Fabrication experience is strongly preferred (NOT, Machining, Inspection, Welding)Experience working within the nuclear industry is preferredKnowledge of CANDU design is preferred.Proven ability to lead multiple projects and manage vendorsPeriod of 6-8 years of experience is considered necessary to gain this experience
