Your Role
We are accepting applications for Tetra Tech’s Student Internship program for our GTA Offices in Pickering/Mississauga, ON. Step out of the classroom and dive into the real‑world workplace, where you can apply what you’ve learned and gain hands‑on experience. The program will run in concurrence with University/Post Secondary institutional scheduling requirements. Responsibilities
Interns will work closely with experienced engineers and project teams to apply academic knowledge to real‑world projects, develop technical skills, and gain insights into the engineering profession.
Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation under supervision.
Support project teams with drafting, modeling, or testing using relevant software/tools.
Participate in team meetings, site visits, and client presentations when applicable.
Ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and project specifications.
Exercise initiative in completing recurring assignments independently and judgment in determining which of many methods are applicable.
Qualifications
3rd or 4th year University/College Student in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil/Structural)
Previous working experience in Engineering is considered an asset.
Excellent technical, analytical writing and presentation skills.
Previous hands‑on experience applying AI in projects is considered an asset.
Computer knowledge in AutoCAD and MS Office suite is considered an asset.
Must be able to obtain security clearance.

Compensation
The hourly compensation range for this position is $20 per hour to $25 per hour. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining compensation, including but not limited to education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
Additional Information
A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
If you are considered for the position, clearance on all applicable background checks (which may include criminal, identity, educational and security) and professional reference checks is required. Some Tetra Tech positions require an enhanced level of background assessment, which is dictated by law. These positions require advanced criminal record checks that must also be conducted from time to time after commencement of employment.
