Nuclear Welding Engineer

Position: Nuclear Welding Engineer at Aecon
Aecon is seeking a Welding Engineer to drive welding excellence on the RF  project at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station. Ensure compliance with the highest industry standards while fostering innovation.

This role serves under the Welding Program Manager, focusing on organizing and controlling welding work, documentation preparation, and technical guidance. Your leadership will contribute to the refurbishment of critical reactor systems, aligning activities with ASME, CWB, and AWS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the technical execution of welding projects

• Prepare Aecon Technical Specifications and RFQs

• Recommend vendors based on performance and specifications

• Review construction codes for accurate technical direction

• Liaise with the Welding Center of Excellence

Requirements:

• P.Eng. designation mandatory

• Over 5 years in a welding construction environment

• Experience with welding codes and standards

• Familiarity with design software and welding innovations

• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills

Drive quality and safety while optimizing welding operations for Aecon’s significant nuclear projects.
