Drive engineering excellence in procurement with Aecon as a Nuclear Procurement Engineer in Darlington, Ontario. This role focuses on vendor selection and equipment specifications in the nuclear sector.
As a key member of Aecon’s team, you will report to the Engineering Manager and provide vital support for proposals and project execution. Your expertise will guide the selection of engineered equipment and preparation of technical specifications, aligning with nuclear codes and standards. Collaborating with various departments, you will ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Obtain and review design data from Design Service Providers
• Prepare equipment specifications for proposals and contracts
• Evaluate vendor bids and recommend selections
• Review vendor documentation for compliance with standards
• Work collaboratively with proposal and project teams
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation
• 5+ years in vendor equipment selection
• Knowledge of Nuclear Codes and Standards
• Strong communication and organizational skills
