Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Planner to support project scheduling and controls across engineering and construction projects. The role involves preparing, updating, and monitoring schedules, resource loading, variance analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with senior planners and project teams, contributing to effective project delivery while receiving guidance and support. This position reports to Project Controls Director.
Your Role- Prepare project schedule:

- Report critical schedule issues: guidance and support to lower-level planners.
- Identification and explanation of variances between current schedule, plan, earned values and forecasts, and communicate to the Project Controls Manager, Project Manager.
- Present updates to Lead/Manager/Project or P&L lead.
- Must have University degree (B. Eng, BCom, etc).
- 5 years of relevant planning and project controls experience, experience in engineering and construction projects environment preffered.
- Proficient in MS office suite of software, especially in Microsoft Excel.
- Thorough knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Ability to learn new software as per the company standards.
- Expert Knowledge of project management techniques and a number of years of hands on experience (i.e., critical path method, progress measurement and earned value technique) and experience in Project planning, analyzing and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills are required with attention to details.
- Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of the general project controls policies and procedures.
- Solid communication and presentation skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to work well with Clients and Alliance partners.
- Ability to work with staff, build and maintain good working relationships with Project Controls team.
