Software Categorization Engineer at OPG

Join Ontario Power Generation as a Software Categorization Engineer in a hybrid role located in Pickering, Ontario. This position emphasizes process control methods, system modeling, and software lifecycle management.

In this dynamic role, you will be tasked with supporting software categorization and process control technical functions cessful candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and proven experience in control systems. You will utilize your skills in troubleshooting, modeling, and software governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and tune control loop performance

• Model physical systems and document dynamic simulations

• Maintain software governance and provide expert advice

• Assess instrumentation designs and control system components

• Implement software lifecycle processes effectively

Requirements:

• 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

• At least 2 years of experience in related engineering roles

• Familiarity with nuclear or regulated plant systems

• Experience with relevant software development frameworks

• Must be a licensed engineer in Ontario or eligible
