Senior Procurement Specialist at OPG

Drive strategic procurement initiatives at Ontario Power Generation as a Senior Procurement Specialist. This role focuses on complex procurements across construction services, engineered products, and more.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain and manage technically challenging procurement assignments. The role encompasses strategy development, evaluation of suppliers, contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance protocols. Candidates need strong supplier performance management skills and extensive procurement experience in large-scale projects, particularly in construction and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide procurement support and guidance to requisitioners

• Evaluate supplier capabilities and market conditions

• Prepare procurement documents and review proposals

• Lead contract negotiations and manage execution

• Oversee supplier quality assurance and performance audits

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or WES equivalent

• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction procurement

• Strong skills in category strategy and total cost analysis

• Expertise in the full sourcing lifecycle and contract management

• Proven cross-functional collaboration with engineering and operations
