Residential Community Manager (On-Site) - Pickering

Purpose

Responsible for effectively managing a residential property while providing the highest level of customer service to residents and owners. Operate within our standards of safety, quality customer service, and efficient operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Management of Staff:

  • Supervise and manage operational staff working on and around the property.
  • Ensure effective performance management of staff.

Customer Service Relations:

  • Maintain top-tier customer service for residents and owners.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and relevant parties, addressing concerns promptly.
  • Manage resident functions to foster respect and goodwill.
  • Focus on resident retention.
  • Handle resident and owner complaints promptly and appropriately.

Administration:

  • Monitor rent collection, reconciliation, and ensure compliance with relevant statutes. Communicate with residents regarding rent, and organize eviction processes if necessary.
  • Code and approve invoices from suppliers and contractors.
  • Review and approve rental applications.

Building Maintenance:

  • Conduct inspections of vacant units, noting deficiencies and preparing reports.
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance work.
  • Place service calls and coordinate contracted work.
  • Regularly inspect common areas and address deficiencies.
  • Propose improvements to management processes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies within 15 minutes.

Qualifications

Education

  • Preference:
    College Degree.
  • Must read and write English fluently, perform intermediate mathematical functions, and use property management software.

Experience

  • Minimum two years’ experience in residential property management or related field.



Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient with computers and software.
  • Motivated to learn and grow.
  • Knowledge of maintenance requirements, vendor, and contract management.
  • High stress tolerance.

Special Requirements:

  • Willingness to be on call and work irregular hours.
