Come join us! As a result of our internal movements at RVH, we are hiring casual Registered Practical Nurse with our Regional Hemodialysis Program. Pay Grid: $38.63 - $39.80/hour Working as a member of the clinical team and under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the incumbent provides and supports patient care delivery in the Hemodialysis Program.

• The Registered Practical Nurse has the knowledge, skills and judgment needed to provide competent, evidence-based nursing practice to selected patients, conformed to the complexity and predictability of their health condition. The level of complexity includes individual or group with readily identifiable or established care needs, which may be interrelated. The predictability may include individual or group with health condition that may not be well controlled.
• The Registered Practical Nurse shall be responsible for meeting the standards and exercising judgment for providing safe, competent and ethical nursing care as outlined in the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Nursing Practice and Guidelines for Ethical Behaviour and the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Policies, Procedures and Protocols, and the standards of care appropriate to his/her area of clinical practice.
• The Registered Practical Nurse creates and strengthens an environment conducive to professional and personal growth.
• The Registered Practical Nurse provides nursing care in collaboration with the patient, significant others, and the multidisciplinary team.
• The Registered Practical Nurse shall involve patients, and their families in assisting them to understand the plan of care and in facilitating choice among care options so that care is individualized according to each patient’s needs.
• The Nurse also solicits patient and family input to evaluate their own care and to improve care for all patients.

• Current Certification and in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current CPR or BCLS certification, level ‘C’ is required.
• Knowledge acquired through the successful completion and graduation of a recognized RPN program.
• Two years of medical surgical experience.
