STATUS:Temporary Regular Part-Time
(November 28, 2026 to January 10, 2028)

QUALIFICATIONS:- -Current Certification of Competence as a Registered Practical Nurse with the Ontario College of Nurses.
- -Current BCLS certification.
- -2 years hospital nursing experience within the past 3 years.
- -Experience with techniques of coaching patients to be independent with Activities of Daily Living.
- -Certificate in Gerontology
- -1 year Geriatric experience within the past 3 years.
- -Practice level consistent with the full scope of practice as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario, which includes but is not limited to:
- -Evidence of the successful, administration and management of blood & blood products
- -Evidence of the successful completion and/or practice in processing physician orders, administration of oral, subcutaneous, IM, suppository, aerosol and IV medications, venipuncture and IV management
- -Demonstrated adherence to the expectations of nursing practice at CKHA
- -Familiarity with MDS Chronic Care Assessment Tool preferred.
- -Fundamentals in Palliative Care preferred
