Position: DZ Driver / Groundperson

Position Overview

As a driver with Davey Tree you will be responsible for ensuring the crew and equipment arrive at the job site safely and on time. Once at site you will join the rest of the crew as a Labourer or Arborist; providing your in-depth knowledge and skills to ensure the job gets done right and on time.

Job Duties

Drive a commercial truck with crew and equipment to various job sites as required.

Perform and log daily pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle.

Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.

Assist the trimmers and foreperson in job site setup, debris removal and cleanup.

Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Abide by Davey and industry safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

Valid provincial driver’s license. Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement required.

Clean drivers abstract required.

1-3 years experience.

Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.
