You have
  • Enrollment in a post‑secondary program in Urban/Regional Planning, Geography, Data Science, Public Policy, Economics or a related field
  • Enrollment in a recognized co‑op placement program
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organization and time‑management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to travel as required
Nice to have
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS or QGIS, SQL, SPSS, R and Python
  • Valid driver’s licence
What you will do
  • Conduct research and analysis on policies, academic literature, programs, legislation and industry best practices to support branch initiatives
  • Review and document sources of information
  • Organize background documentation and present research findings in literature reviews, environmental scans, memos, charts or reports as appropriate
  • Provide technical support for responses to requests
  • Identify, collect and analyse data to support branch initiatives
  • Collect and assist with data analysis and communicate research results
  • Perform other duties as assigned
