Armed Nuclear Security Officer

Protect critical nuclear infrastructure as an Armed Nuclear Security Officer with Ontario Power Generation in Pickering, Ontario. This role includes access control, patrol duties, and incident response across day and rotating shifts.

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) needs a strategic and results-driven professional to fulfill the position of Armed Nuclear Security Officer. Ideal candidates will have a college diploma or university degree in Police Foundations, Law & Security Administration, or Criminology. Experience in enforcement, military, or emergency management is beneficial while training in nuclear security is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out patrols and access control measures

• Monitor entry/exit of personnel and vehicles

• Conduct searches for weapons and contraband

• Respond to alarms and conduct investigations

• Administer lock and key control for site security

Requirements:

• College diploma or degree in relevant fields

• 2 years of experience in security environments

• Valid First Aid and CPR-C certifications

• Firearms Possession and Acquisition Licence

• Ability to complete Nuclear Security Officer Training
