Security Officer

Position: Security Officer at Ontario Power Generation
Take on the role of Armed Nuclear Security Officer with Ontario Power Generation in Pickering, ON. This permanent full-time position involves essential site security tasks and emergency protocol participation.

The position demands candidates with a diploma or degree in Police Foundations, Law & Security Administration, or Criminology, alongside two years of relevant experience. You'll be responsible for security monitoring, conducting enforced access control, and responding to emergencies. The role supports the overall health and safety standards for the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and monitor access areas effectively

• Conduct personnel searches and control vehicle entry

• Respond to irregularities and document findings

• Utilize monitoring equipment and firearms safely

• Train new security personnel and uphold safety protocols

Requirements:

• College diploma or university degree in a relevant field

• At least 2 years in security enforcement roles

• Valid G-Class driver’s license in Ontario

• Must hold First Aid and CPR-C certifications

• Valid Firearms Possession and Acquisition Licence required
