Physician Practice Manager - Sports Medicine & Primary Care

Job Description SummaryDirects, coordinates, and manages all practice functions. Responsible for practice operations, financial accounting activities, operating and capital budgets, implementing and supporting MSF policies and procedures. Works effectively with physicians and other care providers to assure timely and thorough communication and practice efficiencies. Provides education and coaching support to staff and acts as a role model in support of the Ohio Health Mission Statement.
Responsibilities& Duties
- 60%:
Daily operational management, human resource responsibilities including hiring, evaluating, performance management, staffing levels, payroll, policy implementation, patient complaint resolution, workflow adjustments, monthly financials, inventory management, budget preparation, billing oversight, equipment maintenance, IT support, safety & regulatory compliance, building repairs, physician scheduling, and liaison activities. - 30%:
Performance management, patient satisfaction monitoring, financial variance investigation, long‑range financial planning, goal deployment metrics, outcome improvement plans, performance data review, marketing & business development support. - 10%:
Organizational transformation, staff education on strategy, change initiatives, committee participation, pilot new programs, enhance operational effectiveness and cost containment.
- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Healthcare or Business Administration or related field (Required);
Master’s Degree strongly preferred. - Minimum 7 years of related health care experience, preferably in an ambulatory care setting, including 5 years of supervision or management experience.
- Minimum 10 years of health care management experience in an ambulatory setting acceptable as substitution in certain circumstances.
