Overview
RN - Med Surg, FT Nights vides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The department operates 24/7/365. The RN is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates tasks to LPNs and UAPs per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities And Duties- Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments as applicable to the population and/or individual.
- Outcomes Identification/Planning - Documents planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve appropriate outcomes.
- Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to interventions; revises plan of care with the multidisciplinary team as needed.
- Leadership - Participates in process improvement activities to improve clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Operations - Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization (HRO).

Minimum Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current RN license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- BSN required at 5 years of employment.
Night shift; 36 hours per week.
DepartmentMed Surg Unit 1.
