RN Med Surg, Nights

Overview

RN - Med Surg, FT Nights vides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The department operates 24/7/365. The RN is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates tasks to LPNs and UAPs per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

• Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments as applicable to the population and/or individual.
• Outcomes Identification/Planning - Documents planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve appropriate outcomes.
• Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to interventions; revises plan of care with the multidisciplinary team as needed.
• Leadership - Participates in process improvement activities to improve clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Operations - Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization (HRO).

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current RN license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• BSN required at 5 years of employment.

Night shift; 36 hours per week.
