Administrative Assistant (OA11) – Pictou Campus

Continuing full‑time position commencing approximately July 27, 2026. Final date to receive applications: 11:59 PM, July 7, 2026. Salary range: $46,293.35 to $51,796.00 per year.

What you’ll do (Responsibilities)

Reporting to the Regional Manager, Administrative Services, you will provide a full range of administrative support services for the Business Office. You will deliver superior customer service to all clients. Duties include cashiering, accounts receivable (A/R) for student receivables, answering incoming calls, providing support to students and addressing inquiries, and general office support to campus administration. You may also support ancillary business and/or campus operations when required – including, but not limited to, bookstore, campus/college events, space rentals/bookings, accounts payable functions, facility operations, etc.

Qualifications
  • Minimum education:

    post‑secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Administrative Professional/Office Administration, plus at least two years’ recent related experience in a fast‑paced office environment; or a high school diploma with significant (10+ years) administrative experience.
  • Experience with accounts receivable and collections of overdue accounts.
  • Ability to reconcile cash and use point‑of‑sale systems for debit transactions.
  • Experience with accounts payables is an asset.
  • Basic front desk duties experience is an asset.
  • Experience managing student financials is an asset.
  • Cashier or relevant finance experience is an asset.
  • Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students is an asset.
  • Strong computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and high proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience with SharePoint and People Soft, or a similar ERP system, is an asset.
  • Comfortable working in a digital environment; committed to continuous learning about advancing technology.
