Piedmont, CA – Onsite 3 days per week
Role Summary
This is a senior-level SAP BTP architecture and development position focused on designing, developing, and leading cloud-native solutions within the SAP Business Technology Platform. The role requires a hybrid presence in Piedmont, CA (3 days onsite).
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
- Lead solution design for SAP BTP, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business needs.
- Develop architecture blueprints and technical specs for SAP BTP apps.
- Ensure adherence to clean core principles and best practices in ABAP Cloud development.
- Hands-on SAP UI5/Fiori/OData/CDS Views development.
- Strong use of Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
- Extensive use of SAP Build, Work Zone, and low-code/no-code tools.
- Experience with Embedded Analytics on SAP BTP.
- Integrate SAP BTP with S/4
HANA (public/private) and third-party apps using SOAP, REST, OData, IDoc, RFC. - Work with SAP Integration Suite and Mule Soft for enterprise connectivity.
- Guide system integrations, data flows, and security frameworks.
- Design CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops workflows, and manage version control.
- Implement Dev Ops methodology in SAP BTP rollouts.
- Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting using logs/traces.
- Ensure compliance, data protection, and system monitoring.
- 10+ years SAP ABAP development (cloud & on-prem).
- Deep hands-on experience with SAP BTP, ABAP Cloud, Fiori/UI5, SAP Build, and Workflow.
- Proficient in REST, OData, RFC, EDI, IDoc.
- Strong communicator; ability to lead without constant supervision.
- SAP certifications in BTP (CAP, ABAP Cloud, Integration).
- 4+ years of Fiori, HTML5, SAP UI and SAP middleware experience.
- Knowledge of S/4
HANA, ECC, SQL/HANA, Cloud Foundry, Transport Management, CI/CD, and SAP Business Application Studio.
