PVC Process Engineer – Magna International
Join us to advance the automotive industry as a PVC Process Engineer at Magna International. In this role you will manage and improve the production line that creates battery trays for automotive applications.
Job Responsibilities- Manage and oversee daily operations of the PVC application line dedicated to producing automotive battery trays.
- Monitor process parameters to ensure consistent quality and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PVC application processes, equipment, and production workflows.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
- Conduct routine inspections and quality checks of finished products, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Document process parameters, issue reports, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote best practices in manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as quality assurance and procurement, to support seamless production.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience managing manufacturing processes for PVC or similar thermoplastic materials, preferably in the automotive sector.
- In‑depth knowledge of PVC properties, formulations, processing methods, and application techniques.
- Proven expertise in operating and maintaining PVC application equipment such as extrusion, coating, or spraying lines.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to quickly address process deviations or technical issues.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing standards and quality requirements.
- Familiarity with process control systems and production monitoring tools.

Pay Range: $65,000 – $90,000 annual salary
