Job OverviewThe Distribution Center Receiving Supervisor is responsible to staff, organize, and direct operations within the Distribution Center Receiving Department to effectively manage the receiving and splitting of goods under the direction of the DC Manager.
Hourly Pay Range: $21.00-$23.00 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities- Controls costs through productivity of personnel, efficient utilization of storage space, and proper protection of stored materials.
- Responsible for enforcing company policies of conduct and safety and initiates corrective action where necessary.
- Develops and maintains relationships with freight carriers to ensure on-time deliveries to the Distribution Center.
- Identifies the causes of product losses and takes appropriate corrective action.
- Analyzes current procedures and new ideas to continuously improve productivity and efficiencies.
- Selects, develops, trains, and motivates staff.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed while receiving and splitting product.
- General building and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure product is properly received, stored, and ready to ship in a timely manner.
- Work directly with the Distribution Center Manager to effectively carry out all duties.
