Position: SVP Financial Services - Pierre or Mitchell BankWest Locations

Scope of Job

Lead and manage Financial Services Division of Bank West. Financial Services houses the non- bank ancillary business lines of Bank West, Inc. and its subsidiaries. Presently these business lines include Bank West Insurance, Titles of Dakota, and Bank West Brokerage.

Incumbent is responsible for the performance, growth, and alignment of ancillary business lines with the Bank West organization's core mission and strategic goals. This includes identifying opportunities for organic growth and growth through expansion as well as potential business acquisitions.

Primary Duties

Responsible for the day-to-day management, staffing, administration, and related support staff for the assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Selects, trains, coaches, and develops subordinates in accordance with Bank West philosophies and policies; schedules and manages staffing ensuring work completion and delivery of related customer service requirements; ensures compliance with Bank West policies, procedures and standards.

Provide direction regarding products and services offered by the ancillary business lines. Supervise and support managers or supervisors of each ancillary unit, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Collaborate with internal departments, external vendors, and direct reports to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Work with management to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial KPIs for each business line; ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness. Provide regular performance reports to executive leadership; use data to drive decisions and improvements.

Responsible for the budgeting and planning for the Financial Services Division. Establish the overall direction of the Division by setting objectives and defining the means for their attainment.

Work with executive management on end-to-end acquisition processes including target identification and due diligence including company's financials, operational capabilities, technology infrastructure, and cultural alignment. Develop and execute integration strategies to align newly acquired businesses with existing operations, culture, and systems. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (finance, HR, IT, operations) to ensure seamless post‑merger integration.

Provide expertise and ensure compliance with all legal, state and federal regulatory and reputational requirements for Financial Service lines of business.

Serve as a member of the Corporate Management team and provide leadership toward the achievement of organizational strategic objectives.

Serve as a member of the Financial Services, Marketing, and Customer Relationship Management Committees. Collaborate with other members to support the attainment of goals and objectives.

Secondary Duties

Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.

Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.

Attend and actively participate in training offered.

Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of Bank West organization.

Maintains relationships with professional organizations, peers at other financial institutions, and/or Bank regulatory bodies to provide input and feedback on related areas of expertise to the Management Team.

Act in a leadership capacity, providing relevant expertise and counsel; actively supporting work and employee development activities of the Bank.

Supports community through active involvement.

Requirements

Education:

A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

MBA, CPA, or equivalent graduate level degree in a related field preferred.

Applicable experience and/or related certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience:

10 years' progressive management experience in related field.

Experience in insurance sales or agency management.

Experience in real estate or abstract businesses.

Knowledge and Special

Skills:

Strong business financial acumen.

Experience in managing diverse business areas and cross‑functional teams.

Strong systems knowledge, including trouble shooting and problem solving.
