Description :

Assist the GFP southeast area fisheries management team with fisheries management, fisheries research, aquatic habitat, aquatic access and aquatic invasive species activities on southeastern South Dakota waters. Duties include fish spawning and stocking operations, fish population sampling, fishing access improvement, assisting with research studies, data entry, lab work, aquatic invasive species outreach, and equipment maintenance.

Valid driver's license, the ability to perform strenuous physical labor, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

• Operation and maintenance of boats, motors, and trailers, basic vehicle and equipment maintenance, knowledge of fisheries management principles and techniques, fish identification and basic computer operation.

Please note this is a temporary or seasonal, non-benefited position, exempt from civil service.
