Ground Maintenance Crew Lead; Seasonal

Job Overview

Ground Maintenance Crew Lead (Seasonal) – Lake City, SD. Assist the Conservation Tech at Fort Sisseton with oversight of the maintenance crew and maintenance of buildings and grounds within the park. Responsibilities include mowing, weed whipping, spraying, watering trees and grass, cutting and trimming trees, cleaning restrooms, camping cabins, and vault toilets. Operate equipment such as riding mowers, tractors, skid steer loaders, weed sprayers, and trucks.

Other duties as assigned.

• Leadership skills and previous experience leading a team.
• Ability to work independently, manage time well, and work in a variety of weather conditions outdoors.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Uniform shirts provided; employees must comply with uniform dress code.

Paid $15.53 per hour. Temporary or seasonal, non‑benefited position, exempt from civil service.
