a post frame construction carpenter will perform a wide range of physical labor tasks on the construction site including site preparation, use of hand and power tools, and cleanup of the job site.

• preparing construction sites, materials, and tools.
• loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment.
• assisting with transport and operation of heavy machinery and equipment.
• reading and interpreting blueprints.
• operates a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• receives and carries out instructions.
• performs other related duties as assigned.

• ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
• ability to work at heights exceeding 20 feet.
• works well as part of a team.
• ability to travel as needed.
• ability to work alone once instructions have been given.
• ability to work a 40-hour week with overtime.

• successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program; or the equivalent on-the-job training and experience preferred.
• osha 10 certification preferred but not required.
• class a cdl preferred but not required.

• must be able to lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds.
• must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and elements.
• must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• must be able to wear proper ppe (personal protective equipment) and any other safety related equipment.
