Site Manager - Residential Projects

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Site Manager to oversee residential construction projects in and around Pietermaritzburg. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires a strong leader with a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, regulations, and best practices.

You will work closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and the client's project team to deliver high-quality residential properties that meet stringent standards.

• Develop and implement detailed project schedules and site logistics plans.
• Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, including labor, subcontractors, and material delivery.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and identify potential issues.
• Manage project budgets, control costs, and approve invoices and purchase orders.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management , specifically in residential projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methodologies .
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
