Site Supervisor - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor to oversee construction projects in Pietermaritzburg . You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating labor, materials, and equipment, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and plans.
• Manage and mentor on-site personnel, including subcontractors and direct reports, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and delays.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and site conditions.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide regular progress updates and address any concerns.

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry .
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Relevant trade qualification or certification in a construction-related field.
