About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Site Manager to oversee various construction projects in and around Pietermaritzburg . You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and team management. You will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of complex building projects, contributing directly to the company's reputation for excellence in the Kwa Zulu-Natal region.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
- Manage and direct construction personnel and subcontractors, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols across the construction site.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement timely solutions to keep the project on track.
- Manage site resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities to ensure project requirements are met and approvals are obtained.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Relevant certifications in construction management or a related field are advantageous.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
