Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Pietermaritzburg . You will play a key part in the design, planning, and execution phases, collaborating with a talented group of professionals to shape the future of local infrastructure.

We are looking for an individual with a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a commitment to innovation and sustainable engineering practices.

• Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, water systems, and urban development.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) as a Pr. Eng.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management tools.
• Strong understanding of South African building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
