About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Technician specializing in avionics to join their dynamic team in Pietermaritzburg . You will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft avionic systems and components, ensuring the highest standards of safety and airworthiness. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational readiness and safety of our client's fleet, contributing directly to their reputation for excellence in aviation services.
You will work within a collaborative environment that values precision, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in the field of aviation maintenance.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionic systems, including navigation, communication, autopilot, and flight control systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot avionic system malfunctions using specialized test equipment and diagnostic software.
- Repair or replace faulty avionic components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct functional tests and calibrations of avionic systems to verify performance and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance performed, including parts used and time spent.
- A qualified Aircraft Maintenance Technician with a specialization in Avionics.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of aircraft avionic systems.
- Proficiency with avionic diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
- Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems and principles of flight.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
