About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Production Supervisor to oversee operations at their manufacturing facility in Pietermaritzburg. This critical role involves leading a team of production staff, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be instrumental in driving productivity improvements and fostering a positive work environment within the production department.

- Supervise daily production activities, ensuring targets for output, quality, and efficiency are met.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of production operators and line leaders to achieve optimal performance.
- Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures and safety protocols throughout the production process.
- Monitor production schedules, manage inventory levels, and address any operational bottlenecks promptly.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment is well-maintained and operational.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes , lean manufacturing principles, and quality management systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production reports.
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
- A degree or diploma in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is advantageous.
