About the Registered Nurse – Medical 2 PositionThe Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients admitted to the Medical 2 Ward. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, sound decision-making skills and the ability to work effectively in a busy private hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities- Providing safe, effective and high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical 2 Ward.
- Conducting and participating in daily patient care rounds.
- Providing patients and their families with accurate, appropriate and adequate information throughout their hospitalisation.
- Assisting with the identification and implementation of department-specific micro-orientation for staff.
- Investigating patient and service-related complaints and assisting with appropriate resolution.
- Supporting effective SHEQ, risk management and infection prevention and control practices.
- Monitoring and implementing preventative measures to minimise clinical and workplace risks.
- Complying with all infection prevention and control requirements.
- Managing staff and stock resources effectively to minimise unnecessary wastage.
- Facilitating the appropriate maintenance and use of medical equipment.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifying doctors' preferences and stakeholder requirements and implementing appropriate practices within the working environment.
- Working effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes.
Applicants interested in this Registered Nurse Medical Ward vacancy must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
- 3–5 years’ experience working as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Ward.
- Previous experience within a private healthcare facility.
- Computer proficiency.
- Strong clinical nursing knowledge and patient-care skills.
