Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join their dynamic IT team in Pietermaritzburg . • Design, develop, and implement scalable, efficient, and maintainable backend services and APIs.
• Write high-quality, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code using established best practices.
• Optimize application performance and database queries for speed and reliability across various environments.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to define technical roadmaps and system design.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, Node.js).

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
