Experienced Truck Driver - Long Haul

Our client is seeking a seasoned and dependable Truck Driver for long-haul routes across South Africa. This position requires significant time spent on the road, operating heavy-duty vehicles with precision and care, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

• Operate heavy-duty trucks and trailers safely and efficiently over long distances.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical soundness and safety compliance.
• Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and handling.
• Adhere strictly to traffic regulations , hours-of-service limitations, and company safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation, reporting any issues or delays promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service during pick-up and delivery interactions.

• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver's license with professional driving permit (PDP).
• Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in long-haul truck driving.
• Proven clean driving record with no major violations.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during long journeys.
• Physical ability to perform loading/unloading tasks and conduct thorough inspections.
