This position involves providing remote supervision and emergency coverage for Nurse Practitioners performing disability assessments in Alabama. The Supervising Physician reviews a portion of charts quarterly, conducts periodic practitioner check-ins, and must be within reasonable proximity to Montgomery, AL. The role is suited to licensed MDs or DOs in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Physiatry, or Orthopedics seeking supplemental income without direct patient care responsibility.

We are looking for a SupMD that has a valid MD license in Alabama .

MD will provide remote supervision based on the guidelines of Alabama .

MD will be connected with NPs and MRG will provide agreements for signature and filing based on the individual state requirements.

Because of the nature of our work in disability assessments, it is exceedingly rare for the Nurse Practitioner to seek immediate assistance.

- review 10% of charts quarterly

- quarterly check ins with practitioners

- Physician must be within a reasonable distance to the site, or be able to provide a covering physician for emergencies.

Covering Physicians: This does not add to your number of supervises and is coverage for emergencies only.

- The Supervising Physician will review NP maintenance of a log of charts reviewed, and be readily available for consultation. This is a great position for a physician who is looking for added income by supervising NPs that are neither treating nor prescribing. Because of the nature of our IME work, it is exceedingly rare for the Nurse Practitioner to seek immediate assistance.
