We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our team. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. This is a vital role in ensuring accurate and confidential patient information.

• Organize and maintain patient medical records in both electronic and paper formats
• Ensure all medical records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date
• Retrieve and file medical records as needed
• Scan records for archive
• Process requests for release of medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times
• Assist clinical and staff with locating and accessing patient records
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation
• Make sure staff give you their notes weekly for filing

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in record keeping
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals and patients

• High school diploma or equivalent required
  -Must be able to type, file, follow directions
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
