RN Registered Nurse

The RN Staff Nurse is responsible for the accurate and timely administrations of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls as indicated.

$36.00-$40.00 per hour, based upon years of licensed experience. Potential for $1.50 weekend shift differential for 7a-3:30pm on Saturday and Sunday. $1.50 per hour extra when running as the charge nurse. Potential for $1.50 per hour shift differential for 3pm-11:30pm or 11pm-7:30am during the week or $2.00 during Saturday and Sunday. Sign-on bonus of $2000.00 paid over 6 months.

Full time 40 hours/week 3:00pm-11:30pm. Overtime on an as needed basis. Every other weekend and rotating holidays.

• Consistently administers medications accurately.
• Administers treatments, including, but not limited to: dressings, catherization, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
• Assists in direct resident care as necessary. Responds to resident emergency call system as indicated.
• Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.
• Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient.
• Assures continuity of services and care.
• Keeps physician and family aware of change in resident’s condition.

• Assists in admission and discharge procedures.
• Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders.
• Attends in-service training and educations sessions as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
• Observes all safety rules and regulations.
• HIPAA Compliance – follows written policies and procedures to ensure confidentiality of protected health information.
• OIG Compliance – follows written policies and procedures to comply with the federal and state laws and regulations.
• Interacts with residents and coworkers in a friendly and respectful manner.

• Registered Nurse in good standing licensed by the State of Maryland.
• At least 6 months licensed nursing experience. Geriatric involvement preferable.
• Compliance with North Oaks Immunization requirements.
• CPR Certification.
