Position: Certified Medication Technician (CMT)

Pay Range

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $17.00/hr your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

Aventura at the Heights is looking for Certified Medication Technicians to provide medication administration to our residents and to provide the utmost care. The CMT will ensure all medications are stored, labeled, and administered properly with the highest level of safety and quality. A CMT works under the discretion of the delegating nurse.

Open Positions:
Full-time employee to work the 3:00 AM‑11:00 AM shift End‑of‑Week.
Weekend Warriors needed for 3:00 AM‑11:00 AM and 11:00 AM‑7:00 PM (one each).
PRN positions are also available.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed by their physician.
  • Monitor residents’ medication intake and document all medication administration activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all medications, including ordering, storing, and disposing of medications as necessary.
  • Ensure proper storage of medications and label all medications properly.
  • Report any adverse reactions to medications and changes in a resident’s condition to the proper supervisor.
  • Participate in ongoing training to remain current on all regulations.
  • Ensure medications are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Obtain vitals on residents.
  • Provide the utmost care to each resident by assisting with ADL care.
Job Requirements
  • Must be able to work every other weekend.
  • Knowledge of care plan and resident ADLs.
  • Must be a team player, able to follow directions, be organized and detail oriented, and familiar with computer.
  • Must have current MD medication technician (CMT) license/certification.
