Day rate $223.00; 1st Load $44, 2nd Load $66
Schedule:
4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday) with overtime as needed. Start time 9:30 AM – 10 AM.
The Shuttle Driver operates diesel-powered tractor‑trailer combinations to transport products between a production facility and a local warehouse. This local logistical position follows a set route, allowing drivers to return home daily.
Duties & Responsibilities- Complete start‑shift activities, review work schedule, and check equipment before operations.
- Operate vehicles safely, follow all motor‑vehicle laws, and complete safety training and inspections (DOT pre‑trip and post‑trip).
- Conduct pre‑trip, post‑trip, and in‑route safety inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain safe, legal operation of the tractor‑trailer, including adherence to all company policies.
- Accurately record freight paperwork, obtain signatures, and upload bill of lading and proof of delivery using the Samsara device.
- Use electronic logs to record daily service hours in accordance with FMCSA, state, and company requirements.
- Load, secure, and manage cargo, operating landing gear, cargo doors, and trailer slides as needed.
- Ensure timely departures from the facility per published start times.
- Couple and uncouple trailers, slide tandems, and refuel with diesel fuel and DEF.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Navigate steps, platforms, and uneven surfaces to safely enter/exit tractors and trailers while lifting up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs).
- Walk, bend, climb, kneel, and squat frequently for trailer operations.
- Back trailers into dock doors with adjacent trailers.
- Read and comprehend instructions from Driver Manager and production/receiving facilities.
- Operate landing gear and cargo doors safely while climbing on and off the vehicle.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Minimum of 12 months of verifiable driving experience within the previous 24 months.
- Valid Class A CDL for interstate driving using manual and automatic transmissions, without an air‑brake restriction.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
- Acceptable driving record required.
- Fluent in reading, speaking, and writing English; understand highway traffic signs and signals.

- Approximately 25% of work time spent outdoors.
