Warehouse Inbound Supervisor

L&R is the largest distributor and the 6th largest purchaser of cosmetics in the United States. We now distribute over 40,000 items—cosmetics, toys, school supplies, hosiery, hair accessories, OTC, HBA and more—through four regional warehouse locations in Arkansas, California, Nevada, and New Jersey.

Shift: Day Shift, Full‑time.

The Inbound Supervisor is responsible for checking‑in and unloading incoming shipments, verifying that the correct amounts and types of items were shipped, inspecting the goods to ensure their quality, stocking shelves, keeping reserve locations organized, and supervising the Receiving and Replenishment Departments.

• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Ensure execution of customers’ fulfillment and distribution requirements, monitor and maintain proper safety and security controls, and support appropriate inventory integrity controls.
• Examine and unpack incoming shipments; notify buyer of any shortages and damaged items.
• Stock or replenish items to their appropriate departments and shelves with unpacked items.
• Safely utilize forklifts and power jacks to move materials according to proper safety instructions and as directed.
• Operate a lift truck or hoist shipments from receiving platform to storage/reserve area.
• Provide replenishment reports to the department.
• Analyze replenishment numbers and report to upper management.
• Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Ensure all employees comply with applicable health and safety regulations and company‑related policies and procedures.
• Participate in the selection process of new employees, advise and direct teams, assist with performance appraisals, maintain assignment completion schedules, and refer disciplinary problems to a higher level. Perform similar and higher level tasks.

This position is frequently managed by the Operations Manager or Assistant Warehouse Manager. It directly supervises the Receiving Lead, Returns Department, and Replenishment Department.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Three years in the Receiving or Replenishment Departments.

This position requires standing 80% of the day, light lifting (up to 50 lbs.) for 80% of the day, and stooping for 20% of the day.
