** The responsibilities of the Instructor/Counselor include:
Providing developmental and intrusive advising;
Determining placement and registering freshman students for courses;
Maintaining files and tracking first-year students;
Consulting with faculty and staff on behalf of individual students;
Making referrals for support services as needed;
Assisting in the planning and implementation of new student orientation;
Providing classroom instruction and student-development workshops;
Performing classroom and related research deemed necessary for the area;
Serving as advisor to student organizations;
