Summary ofJob Duties
The Agriculture Department seeks an adjunct faculty member in Agricultural Engineering. The successful candidate will teach AGEN 1101 – Orientation to Agricultural Engineering, develop curriculum, advise students, supervise internships, collaborate with industry, participate in student recruitment, assessment, and deliver industry‑training programs. The role also includes engagement in scholarship, grant writing, campus governance and other service. The applicant must have a strong interest in higher education and enthusiasm for creating an innovative, inspiring learning environment.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduates in the AGEN 1101 course.
- Engage students in creative, applied work to develop next‑generation agricultural equipment and related technologies.
- Participate in curriculum development and assessment.
- Advises students and supervises internships.
- Collaborate with industry partners and recruit students.
- Participate in scholarship, grant writing, and campus governance.
- Teaching responsibilities to undergraduates.
- Other work or responsibilities as assigned by departmental supervisors.
- Certified professional engineer (P.E.) in Arkansas or the ability to qualify for a P.E. in Arkansas.
- Experience and qualifications to facilitate and coordinate ABET accreditation activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and make timely decisions.
- Background and experience in Agricultural Engineering.
- Post‑doctoral and teaching experience (preferred).
Commensurate with education and experience.
