Summary of

Job Duties

Position entails field and laboratory work assisting two UAPB fisheries graduate students on research projects in wetlands and tailwater rivers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proof of current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to receive both prior to employment)
  • Completion of a boater’s education course
  • Valid driver’s license with good record
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and withstand inclement weather conditions including humid temperatures above 90°F and close to freezing temperatures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A B.S. degree in Fisheries Science, Biology, or related field
  • Fisheries field sampling experience including towing, trailering, and driving tiller outboard motor vessels, as well as driving 4‑wheelers and field trucks
  • Macroinvertebrate identification
