- Serves as teaching faculty in the Department of Nursing.
- Maintain expertise in field of study and teaching pedagogy/andragogy.
- Maintain active participation in professional organizations as appropriate.
- Makes recommendations to Department Chairperson regarding budgetary needs.
- Participates in Advisory Board meetings, departmental and university committees as assigned.
- Academic advising and student recruitment.
- Prepare course syllabi using departmental/university template.
- Curriculum development, research and program evaluation.
- Establish and maintain clinical affiliation agreements with healthcare facilities.
- Ensure agreements meet university and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with administrative and legal departments for contract management.
- Provide required forms and papers to the Registrar’s Office within the specified time frame.
- Demonstrate procedures in nursing skills laboratory and progressive mastery of simulations.
- Supervise student demonstrations and evaluate student performances.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master's in nursing science degree.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license or eligible to be licensed in the state of Arkansas.
- Three to five years teaching experience preferably in a BSN education program.
- Experience in nursing education or clinical instruction.
- Familiarity with ACEN or CCNE accreditation standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred:
Earned doctorate.
Commensurate with education and experience.
