Kids First Pine Bluff is looking for a Child Development Technician that loves children and wants to help them grow while learning. We need someone experienced in providing care and intervention to a group of young children from birth to age 5 with developmental delays and special medical needs.
Kids First serves children with special healthcare needs ranging in age from six weeks to five years. In our pediatric day healthcare clinics, children diagnosed as having a medical condition known to put them at risk for developmental delays and disabilities receive intensive intervention.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED plus six (6) months experience working in the care of children. Other education such as CCOT, CDA, AA, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field may substitute for experience.
- Candidate must pass state abuse registry checks, drug screen, submit to a TB skin test and required immunizations or provide proof of immunizations.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to identify educational and developmental needs of children
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, and other childcare professionals
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of early childhood curriculum
- Provides quality direct patient care for a group of young children including serving mealtimes, assisting with feeding, diapering, and dressing.
- Provides developmentally appropriate behavioral guidance within daily scheduled activities.
- Follows the direction of the ECDS to provide individualized developmental services of their assigned treatment rooms in a child-centered, family focused manner that demonstrates evidence-based or best practice.
- Establishes exciting learning environments for young children and applies curriculum to address the objectives contained in each child's treatment plan.
