The Electrical Maintenance Engineer
- High Voltage plays a key role in supporting our paper mill operations by leading capital projects focused on sustaining electrical infrastructure. The role is highly hands-on, with a strong focus on project execution, troubleshooting, and collaboration across teams and vendors. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in electrical systems and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position collaborates closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational areas to ensure electrical reliability, manage critical spares, and support long-term asset sustainability across the mill.

• Recommend and manage electrical improvement projects (e.g., power distribution systems, crane controls, drives upgrades, power quality studies, machine room equipment, cameras).
• Address ongoing electrical issues and identify critical spares to ensure operational continuity
• Collaborate with internal teams and interface with contractors and vendors to execute capital projects
• MaintainaccuraterecordsanddocumentationusingSAPand Microsoft Office tools .
• Monitorkeyelectricalparametersandidentifyopportunitiesforsystemoptimization.
• Troubleshooting electrical faults and making repairs to equipment and utility systems.
• Support mill operations by ensuring electrical systems meet safety, reliability, and performance standards
• Communicate effectively across departments to align priorities and share technical insights
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating effective time management and prioritization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3-7 years of experience within pulp & paper, chemical, or oil & gas industries
• Strong background in power distribution, controls, PLCs, drives, and high voltage systems.
• ExperiencewithequipmentfromGE,Allen Bradley, and Westinghouse.
• ProficiencyinSAPand Microsoft Office (Exceland Power Point ).
• Experiencemanagingcontractorsandvendorsisaplus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
