How You Make a DifferenceThe LPN plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under RN supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social dimensions in both the health‑care unit and housing units, contributing to individualized treatment planning.
- Implement treatment programs directed by health‑care practitioners, including administering medications, IV therapy (if certified), and performing diagnostic tests per protocols.
- Collaborate in controlled‑substance counts at the beginning of each shift, adhering to safety techniques and standard precautions.
- Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures, implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating commitment to continuous professional development.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience:
- Prefer a minimum of one year clinic experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current licensure as an LPN/LVN in the state of employment.
- Must obtain and maintain CPR certification.
Bonus: Up to $5,000 available.
