Responsibilities
The monitoring counselor provides various services to juveniles. A monitoring worker is made available on a regular basis to attend court hearings to assist the court with its proceedings. The counselor will provide treatment that includes direct intervention to address the problems, needs, or adjustments of an individual and/or family. The counselor will provide intensive supervision and tracking services to juveniles who have been initially ordered this service by the court or as part of a legally authorized diversion agreement.
The monitoring counselor also monitors a juvenile’s presence in his or her home in order to enable the juvenile to remain itionally, the counselor is to assist an individual or family in accessing needed medical, social, educational, and other services appropriate to the needs of the individual or family.
- MUST HOLD A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE, SOCIAL WORK, OR EQUIVALENT.
- A MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR POSITION.
