Director of Religious Education

St. Louis Catholic Parish, a large and vibrant community of faithful in Pinecrest (Dade County), Florida is seeking a passionate and mission-driven full-time Director of Religious Education (DRE) to help form disciples and deepen the faith of the parish community. This position plays a vital role in developing and implementing lifelong catechesis, supporting children, youth, and adults in their journey of faith.

The candidate performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the vision, mission, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.

• Develop and oversee comprehensive faith formation programs for children, youth, and families.
• Coordinate sacramental preparation for First Communion, Confirmation, and RCIA for children.
• Recruit and train catechists and volunteers.
• Foster a culture of family catechesis and work closely with the parish leadership to integrate catechesis into the larger mission of the parish.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Practicing Catholic in good standing, committed to the Church’s mission.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in theology, religious studies, or a related field;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in parish faith formation, catechesis, or youth ministry.
• Strong organizational and logistical skills, including ability to run retreats, rehearsals, and other events effectively.
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage, coach, train, gain commitment of and delegate to staff and volunteers.
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written;
  Ability to articulate Catholic teachings effectively and provide timely communication to parents.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and digital tools for ministry.
